There were copper bottom tympani in horse platoons, double bell euphoniums and big bassoons and 76 trombones thundering, thundering louder than before as Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre opened it's fourth and final production of the the season, The Music Man.

Fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill comes to River City, Iowa, to con the townspeople into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band, but his plan to skip town with the cash is foiled when he falls for the town librarian, Marian.
